Desert Tortoises: Slow, Steady & Rare

One of the most special sightings on any tour is the Desert Tortoise. These gentle reptiles are native to the Sonoran Desertand are a protected species.

They move slowly and blend into the desert terrain, so spotting one feels like striking gold. When we do, we always stop (from a respectful distance) so guests can take it in—it's a moment you won’t forget.

Jackrabbits & Cottontails: Desert Speedsters

Don’t let the calm desert fool you—there’s a lot of movement out there. Keep your eyes peeled for the Black-tailed Jackrabbit and Desert Cottontail darting across trails.

They’re fast, unpredictable, and always a fun surprise during the ride.

Rattlesnakes: Respect the Locals
