Imagine driving a vehicle that handles like a car, feels like a go-kart, and is built to tackle rugged desert terrain. Welcome to the Honda Talon!

If you've never stepped foot inside a side-by-side, you might be wondering what it's actually like to drive one. Is it difficult? Does it feel like driving a regular car? Do you need off-road experience? If you've never stepped foot inside a side-by-side, you might be wondering what it's actually like to drive one. Is it difficult? Does it feel like driving a regular car? Do you need off-road experience?

A Honda Talon is a sport side-by-side, also known as a UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle). Unlike a traditional ATV, where you sit on top and steer using handlebars, a side-by-side allows you to sit inside the vehicle, much like you would in a car.

At Desert Monsters Tours, we use Honda Talons with two-seat and four-seat options, making them great for couples, families, friends, and larger groups.

The first time you climb into a Honda Talon, you'll immediately notice some familiar features. You're sitting in an actual bucket-style seat, with a steering wheel in front of you, a seat belt to secure you, and pedals beneath your feet.

Sound familiar? That's because many of the basic driving controls are similar to those in your everyday vehicle. Inside you will find a steering wheel, gas, and brake pedal, an automatic transmission.

If you've never driven off-road before, you might look at a rocky desert trail and wonder how a vehicle could possibly travel over it.

That's where the Honda Talon really shines.

Unlike a regular passenger car, the Talon has substantial ground clearance, rugged off-road tires, and a suspension system designed to absorb the movement of uneven terrain.

One of the best features of the Honda Talon for beginners is its automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission. In simple terms, the vehicle can handle gear changes for you.

You don't need to know how to drive a manual transmission, operate a clutch pedal, or figure out when to shift gears. Instead, you can focus on steering, controlling your speed, and enjoying the incredible scenery around you.

At Desert Monsters Tours, our adventures are fully guided, and no previous off-road driving experience is required. Before heading out, our team provides a safety briefing and explains the basic vehicle controls, trail procedures, and what to expect during your adventure.

Never driven a side-by-side? There's a first time for everything, and Arizona is a pretty incredible place to start!
